To provide support and assistance to all those who have undergone surgery for bowel problems resulting in an Ileostomy or internal pouch. We are also happy to assist and advise people facing these procedures.

Independent Age helps elderly people on low incomes remain in their own homes and enables them to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life.
Independent Age provides more than 6,000 elderly people with a small, regular, guaranteed additional income. Our network of over 1,200 volunteers visit beneficiaries, offering friendship and ensuring general welfare.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for Independent Age to help everyone and so we concentrate on helping those people who have devoted their lives to caring for others; people like nurses, teachers or those who have looked after family or friends.

Three, two and one day programmes for adults, using cognitive behavioural techniques to enable them to develop a positive attitude even in difficult situations. The ISECCA motto - "I Believe I Can" - is the theme throughout all courses. Thousands of people in Dorset have already gained huge benefits from these programmes, leading them to greater happiness and contentment.
