Bournemouth Gramophone Society Updated on 22/11/2007
Bournemouth Gramophone Society was founded over 60 years ago for the purpose of listening to music through the medium of gramophone records. Over the years the Society has kept abreast of technical advances and programmes are now presented on compact disc by professional speakers, who liberally spice their talks with interesting anecdotes, or record companies, who offer substantial discounts on their product for promotion evenings. A friendly informal atmosphere prevails at meetings, and there is an interval when refreshments are available. New members and visitors are always welcome. No previous knowledge is necessary, only an interest in music. Visit us on our website at www.bgsuk.mysite.orange.co.uk
